Statfox 42-10 Over System

Statfox posted this as their top system for the day (supports the over in Baltimore):

Play Over – All teams where the total is 8.5 to 10 (MINNESOTA) – a marginal losing team (46% to 49%) playing a winning team, playing on Thursday
(42-10 over the last 5 seasons.) (80.8%, +31.4 units. Rating=4*)

My question is:
A. How would you convert that to sdql?
B. Is it a viable betting system?

My opinion is that it contains a lot of arbitrary parameters and lacks logic. Am I missing anything? If anyone else uses statfox, maybe you feel the same way: that is, most systems are highly backfitted and random. Not produced by people that actually bet on sports.

total >= 8.5 and total <= 10 and WP >= 46 and WP <= 49 and o:WP > 50 and day=Thursday and season > 2009

As you said too many arbitrary parameter. This system before 2009 is a losing system on the over.

Agree. It is too much. Last 5 seasons, total constrained, arbitrary win % range. random day.
No good. I don’t think they apply any logic to their systems or the beginning process of the system they use to find them. It is just a case of throw a bunch of crap at the wall and see what sticks.
