Lots of talk about whether dogs or favorites come through late season. Here’s a trend that doesn’t define dog or favorite for the late regular season.

In the very last game of the season and in a division matchup, the team with a 3% lead or more over the opponent has gone 70-37 +21.52 units, +13.4% roi.

162-game number=0 and DIV and WP-o:WP>3 and playoffs=0

I’m not sure how to query what their overall division lead is, but if it is possible, I have a hunch that would play a role here OR this is just about picking up momentum going into the playoffs.

I like this one sbr. Are you from sbr forum or something?

I think this systems makes sense, but I agree with you, you’d want to see how much of a division lead the teams had in those games. I have no idea how to query that.

6-4 plus some profit this season. Not bad.
